Hello all,

I have performed a google search on this, but haven't found anything so I
thought I would ask this forum. I am using VMware v4.0 and have a guest OS of
SuSU v8.2 Pro. Each time I start the guest machine it changes the volume level
of my sound card pretty loud. When I am starting the guest OS at night and
listening to music this can be annoying and wake up my g/f. Also, when I
shutdown the guest OS it turns off the sound thus I have to go and turn it
back on again. So two questions...

1) How do I change the default sound level when the sound driver is loaded
during boot time?
2) How do I prevent the shutdown process from turning off the sound?

I have looked in a few places, but haven't found anything. I was looking in
etc/rc.d/ and etc/init.d but I didn't find anything. Thanks for any info on
how to solve this little problem.
